The Church of the Good Shepherd

Growing Deeper in God, Growing Larger in Mission

Youth

Tim Goodwright 2010Introducing our new Children and Youth Worker at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Four Marks – Tim Goodwright . He is married to Vicky, and they have two children, Daniel and Elsbeth.

Tim trained at Bournemouth University in Media Production before moving from behind the camera to in front of it. He is a versatile performer who has worked in the varied fields of education, theatre and the media. As part of the Saltmine Theatre Company he has toured nationwide and abroad, performing full scale productions at conferences like Spring Harvest and New Wine and a million sketches elsewhere in between – well, quite a few anyway!

Alongside his professional work Tim has been working for years with kids and youth on a voluntary basis - leading worship, teaching and pastoring. Two years ago, he was asked to join the staff at Trinity Church in Cheltenham as an Associate Pastor for Children. He has a passion to equip, envision and encourage. He has an infectious enthusiasm and God has blessed him with strong and creative communication skills.

With Tim’s DNA in the Arts he can come over as rather theatrical but he means well. After his family he loves motorsport – especially Formula 1. His interests also include gadgets, travel and more recently golf where he enjoys great value for money taking twice as many shots as anyone else!

The Goodwright family have come to us from Cheltenham where they have been based since they got married in 1995. Vicky’s background is in Tourism in Gloucestershire and, once settled in Four Marks, she will be looking for a new role in Hampshire. Daniel is 11 and in Year 7 – he goes to Perins School in Alresford. Elsbeth is 10 and in Year 5 – she attends Four Marks Primary School.

Tim, Vicky, Daniel and Elsbeth are very excited to have joined God’s Four Marks family.
